How a verdict is made.
Three sources, one published standard and a bar that never leaves the screen. Here is each part, in the order it is used.
An answer is rated before it is scored.
Not yet
The answer did not yet show the competency, or it was unsafe.
Developing
Part of the way there, with gaps that would matter on the job.
Proficient
What a competent person in the role does. This meets the standard.
Exemplary
Beyond the standard, with the judgement of someone experienced.
Five dimensions, read on one ramp.
Each dimension is scored on its own and drawn against the same bar, so a scorecard shows where a candidate is strong and where to work.
The bar is 70, and it is drawn beside every score a candidate or employer sees, overall and for each dimension.
- 01Clinical skills
- 02Workflow and tools
- 03Patient communication
- 04Compliance and safety
- 05Role knowledge
Clearing the bar on points is not always enough.
Checks after the score
Each one can hold a pass back
- CoverageHeld back when this sitting did not cover enough of the standard..Held back
- Lowest areaHeld back when one area fell too far below the bar to pass on an average..Held back
- Strength of evidenceHeld back when the evidence was not strong enough to certify..Held back
- SafetyHeld back when one answer crossed a line the standard treats as unsafe..Held back
Matches refresh on their own.
A shortlist is read again whenever something it depends on changes.
When you publish a role
The pool is ranked against it straight away, without anyone asking.
When you edit it
The ranking is read again, so the shortlist follows what the role now needs.
When a candidate earns a verdict
They are read against every open role their new evidence fits.
When a profile is hidden
A candidate who is not discoverable is never ranked.
What MedTality never does.

Score personality
Or appearance, accent or background. Only the work.
Make the hire
Your team decides who to interview and who to hire.
Hide the reasons
The bar and the cause of every verdict are on the scorecard.
Publish the cases
The scenarios stay private, so a verdict cannot be rehearsed.
